Location, Location, Buzz

Angry Face Coffee ArtSadly, I have to report yet another shop closing.  Rev! Cafe and Gallery.  When they opened 4 months ago,  I had high hopes, but realistic questions.  Mostly: how are they going to get people in the door?  It was a great little shop, don’t get me wrong, and they were fantastic people.  Its just that the location wasn’t condusive to their business.  Close, oh so close, but just out of the way enough.  Plus, I bet there are still some people who think the shop isn’t open yet– the ‘Coming Soon’ sign was there WAY longer than the actual shop.  They tried to do fun things with their space, generate some buzz, but none ever seemed to connect enough.

Alas.

I drove by there all the time. I seriously never knew they ever opened.

    Hey Scott,
Just thought I would drop you a line. As one of the former baristas at Rev! (I think I can speak for J, too,) we miss all our customers. Despite the many limitations of our location, we had begun to build up a good customer base. Sadly, the way the shop was shut down didn’t allow for us to say good-bye. To all our customers who gave us a shot, thanks for being part of our short-lived existence.

I still appreciate a good cup of Joe, so I might see you at another cafe around town.

    Miss Marlo

The coffeeshop (formerly Rev! Cafe and Gallery at 20th and Main) has reopened under new ownership/name. Great espresso so far and open ’til 9pm in the Crossroads!
