Why Not WiFi

In a jealous attempt to keep up with this blog, the Coffee Map is back now too and getting better than it ever was before.  As you will see, it is now going to show if the shop has WiFi available for customers.  If you know a place to have WiFi and I don’t have it marked as such yet on the map, let me know, I’ll get it corrected.  The map now also has some tea listings!  We’ll get more as Karen gets rolling.  While I’m feeling ambitious, are there any other map-related requests any of you have?

Just to clarify, is this a map of WiFi or FREE WiFi? (I’m 99.9% sure all the places on the map are free (because S’bux is the only place that doesn’t realize that people won’t pay for WiFi)), but at the same time, I’d hate to show up at a place then realize I need to pay to use the Interwebs.

    Good question.
    Most are free.
Some are ‘free for customers’. That can range from places like Eljays that just asks you to buy anything, to Westport Coffeehouse that requires your purchase to be $5 or more.
    But most are free.

Hi. I absolutely love the KC Coffee Map. Thank you for posting it. My girlfriend and I are actually looking for good places to study in the Kansas City area that have free wifi and are also open late. Do you know of the best locations that are also open late? Is there a way to post the hours on the KC Coffee Map?

    Thank you for your time.
